Anil Ambani is a Business man, chairman and managing director of Reliance Group from India; he is the younger son of the famous business tycoon, Reliance Industries founder Dhirubhai Ambani and Kokilaben Ambani born on 4 June 1959, he has an elder brother Mukesh Ambani who is now listed as one of the richest persons globally, he has two Sisters Nina and Deepti.
Anil Ambani has earned his graduation (B.Sc. in Science) from Kishinchand Chellaram College, Mumbai and completed his MBA from University of Pennsylvania, Wharton, he married Tina Munin a Bollywood actress on 2nd February 1991, and this couple has two sons named Jai Anmol Ambani and Jai Anshul Ambani
Ambani brother (Anil and Mukesh) had many disputes after death of his father Dhirubhai Ambani in 2002, her mother interfered in the matter and distributed the businesses between the two brothers, Anil got Reliance Group with interest in entertainment, infrastructure, financial, power, telecom and services, and he also got IPO of Reliance Power which was subscribed in less than a minute, in 2005 his special interest in entertainment industry he brought majority stocks of Adlabs Films and formed Big Cinemas a chain of 700 multiplex theaters in 2009 it was renamed as Reliance MediaWorks, in 2008 to expand his entertainment business globally he jointly ventured with with Steven Spielberg’s production company DreamWorks and had been a part of production of Oscar Award winning movie Lincoln.

In 2006 Reliance communication was the 2nd biggest telecom company during that period there were two technologies for mobile communication namely GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) and CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) GSM was more advanced than CDMA it was limited only to 2G and 3G, RCOM used only CDMA technology which make them lack behind with other competitors IDEA, Airtel who used GSM technology, later in years 2016 with entry of Reliance JIO of Mukesh Ambani RCOM has completely drown to losses and declared bankruptcy in February 2019, in a dispute with Ericsson to pay ₹5.5 billion with a personal guarantee from Anil Ambani he couldn’t clear the debts in this matter supreme court directed them to make payments by 19 March, Mukesh Ambani helped his brother in clearing his debts.
