Azim Premji is an Indian Business Tycoon, Industrialist and Philantropist, he is the chairman of Wipro Limited. He was born on 24 July 1945 at Mumbai, India. He is the son of Muhammed Hashim Premji a famous business person and he is also known as Rice King of Burma, founder of Pakistan asked Hashim Premji to come to Pakistan but he denied his invitation and stayed in India.

Azim Premji went to Stanford University for completing his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree, in the year 1966 with the news of his father demises he returned back to Indian and handed over his father business, he was married to Yasmeen Premji and they have two children named Rishad Premji and Tariq Premji, presently Rishad Premji is looking after the IT wing of Wipro

In earlier days Premji family business was manufacture cooking oil and soaps as a byproduct of oil manufacture, after Premji takeover the business and named it as WIPRO later he entrned into bakery business, baby toiletries and other products, in his vision of improvinh IT sector in future he partnered with IBM began computer business, he started manufacturing minicomputers with the help of Sentinel an American company. In the year 2001 he founded Azim Premji foundation and started social service, this foundation aims in providing quality education in rural regions of India, he has become a part of charitable campaign The Giving Pledge which encourages the wealthy persons to donate large part of their wealth to philanthropic causes, he was the first Indian to become a part of this, he was honored with Padma Vibhushan in the year 2011.
