Government of India Targets 100 MT of Coal Gasification by 2030
🔸The government aims to achieve 100 million tons of coal gasification by 2030 to promote clean energy.
🔸Coal will be transformed into gas or liquid forms for use in methanol, ammonia, and industrial processes.
🔸Financial allocation of ₹8,500 crore , with a 50% revenue share rebate for commercial coal gasification projects.
🔸Coal India & BHEL – Focus on ammonia and nitric acid production with a project cost of ₹11,782 crore.
🔸Coal India & GAIL – Developing coal-to-synthetic natural gas project worth ₹13,053 crore in West Bengal.
🔸Initiative to partially reduce oil, gas, fertilizer, and petrochemical imports.
🔸We have a positive view on Coal India driven by plans for 1000 MT production by FY26, robust demand, and investments in coal gasification.
Impact on Coal India Share: Coal India Share saw a very big dip from 52 week high of 543 to 470 to 480 which is around 8% dip. It again corrected to 490. This positive news can boost coal india to some extent. Definitely it’s a very good stock for the long term as suggested by stock market analysts.
