Chungneijang Mary Kom Hmangte, widely known as Mary Kom, is a legendary Indian amateur boxer, politician, and Olympic medalist hailing from Kangathei, Manipur, India. Her date of birth is November 24, 1982, and she was born on a Wednesday.

She is the only female boxer to have won a medal in each one of the first seven World Championships, and the only boxer (male or female) to win eight World Championship medals. Mary Kom rose from a humble farming background to become one of the greatest athletes in Indian history.

Mary gained international prominence after winning a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Following her illustrious athletic career, she served as a Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha. In a massive surprise for reality TV fans, she entered the Bigg Boss 20 Hindi house in 2026.
