Early Life and Education

Rajat grew up in Faridabad, where he was always interested in sports. His love for physical activities started early and played a big role in shaping his future. Rajat went to Tagore Academy Public School, where his talent for athletics became clear. As he got older, Rajat balanced his studies with his passion for sports, eventually going to Manav Rachna University. Here, he kept up with both his education and his intense training schedule, showing a strong commitment to both.

Getting Into Powerlifting

Rajat’s journey into powerlifting was a natural step from his athletic background. He wanted to test his physical limits, and powerlifting was the perfect sport for that. Powerlifting is all about three main lifts: the squat, bench press, and deadlift. Rajat quickly focused on mastering these lifts, which helped him rise through the ranks in the sport. Controversies

Caught 3 Fake Babas

In November 2023, Rajat Dalal did an Instagram Live in which he showed three alleged fake babas and asked them to recite Gayatri Mantra and Hanuman Chalisa. When they failed to do so, he forced them to slap each other and later forced them to strip down.

The babas said that they belonged to the Nath sampradaya of Gorakhnath Peeth. He also asked them to show them their Aadhar Card which later turned out to be fake when the police authorities checked them.

Few people alleged that Dalal contradicted his facts as he said during the video that one of the men entered his house while two people were standing outside during the video later, he said that he asked them to come inside and sit inside the verandah of his house.

He later handed them to the police. While no formal police complaint was filed, the police started an investigation into the matter. Dalal later asked everyone to be aware of such people as these people could be illegal immigrants. 

Fight with Singha

In 2023, a powerlifter named Aren Joy Fernandez did an Instagram Live in which he said that he did not know Rajat Dalal. Another powerlifter named Sourav Kumar Singh aka Singha joined Aren’s Live and said that Rajat Dalal was not a very good powerlifter after which a beef started between Rajat Dalal and Singha.

Their fight escalated when Dalal alleged that Singha mocked his surname and the Jaat community to which Dalal belonged. Dalal replied that he never mocked the Rajput community to which Singha belonged. Later, an arm wrestler named Aryan Kothari and a friend of Singha named Siwet also uploaded videos on YouTube in which they used defamatory language against Dalal. In a video in February 2024, Singha challenged Dalal to fight him anywhere and also proposed a 1 vs 1 fight which was scheduled to happen in a cage which Dalal agreed to.

Later, Dalal filed a police complaint against Singha and sent him an apology letter to sign which was for his comments against Dalal’s surname and community. Reportedly, Dalal went to Dehradun with his friends and attacked and beat up Singha. Later, Singha and his friends said sorry to Dalal in different Instagram Live sessions, and Singha also signed an apology letter.

Anytime Fitness Membership Issues

In 2024, a video of Rajat Dalal went viral in which he was seen in Anytime Fitness gym in Delhi arguing with the gym staff in the presence of police officials. He wrote in his Instagram post that he has been having issues regarding his membership fees since 2016.

He wrote that the gym owner was charging him Rs 1500 when he called him from another phone number, he was told a gym trial fee of Rs 500. He further wrote that he was only allowed to train in stipulated hours, and his membership was cancelled several times. In February 2024, he was given a membership of 1 year by Anytime Fitness. 

Feud with Joyjyoti Fitness

In March 2024, he had an online feud with a fitness influencer named Joyjyoti Dutta Chaudhary from Assam. Joyjyoti was a client of Rajat Dalal and ordered some fitness equipment from him which got late after which Joyjyoti posted a video in which he criticised Dalal. Dalal sent a legal notice for a compensation amount of Rs 50 lakhs and also registered an FIR against Joyjyoti at the Ballabgarh City Police Station. 

Rajat Dalal vs Rajveer Shishodia & Aadi Nagar

On 13 March 2024, an online fight broke out between Rajat Dalal and Rajveer Shishodia with Shishodia alleging that Dalal used abusive words against him and bodybuilder Nitin Chandila. He challenged Dalal to come to Noida and sent him his location.

When Dalal did not come, Shishodia along with Aadi Nagar went to Faridabad after which Dalal told them to come to Mujeri village.

Later, during the evening, a few videos were circulated on social media in which Dalal was seen saying that he does not have an issue with Shishodia after which fans said that Shishodia was the winner of the beef.

On the night of 13 March 2024, Dalal uploaded a few videos on Instagram in which he abused Shishodia. On 14 March 2024, Dalal went to his ancestral village, Mandothi, in Bahadurgarh district and challenged him to come there. He also said that Rajveer Shishodia was a rapist and a rape case was going on against him.

In reply, Shishodia alleged that Dalal was sexually exploited by a gym trainer named Vikas when Dalal was in his teenage years. Shishodia also said that a case was filed under IPC section 377 after which the matter was resolved for a compensation of Rs 2.50-3 lakhs.

He later said that Dalal was once going to a powerlifting competition on a train when he tried to steal a gold chain from a sleeping woman, and when co-passengers caught Dalal, they beat him due to which he faced injury to the head.

In reply, Dalal said that they would help the rape victim of Shishodia’s case to get justice. He also challenged Shishodia and Nagar to a 2 vs 1 fight. On 15 March 2024, Dalal issued a threat to Shishodia and said that either they apologise by 6:30 pm or they must face consequences.

Dalal posted an Instagram story in which he showed the Facebook post of the Neeraj Bawana gang which mentioned that Dalal and Nakul Dhull (popularly known as Mithu Don) were like their younger brothers and gave a death threat to Shishodia.

Abducted a youth over a social media post

In June 2024, he was accused of abducting an 18-year-old youth named Dhyan Lodha, over a social media post. Dhyan Lodha, in his FIR with Sabarmati police, said that he used to go to a gym on the Chandkheda Crematorium Road where Rajat Dalal was a trainer.

According to Lodha, he uploaded a video on 1 May 2024 in which he said Dalal had ruined his (Lodha’s) day by showing his face in the morning following which Dalal, along with two others, abducted him from his home and tortured him at multiple places. Lodha claimed that Dalal urinated on his face and abused him and his mother during the torture.

A viral video showing him driving rashly

In August 2024, a video of Rajat went viral on the internet in which he was seen driving his car at a speed of 140 kmph. He allegedly hit a biker while driving on a highway and when the woman sitting next to him asked him to drive carefully, he said “Wo gir gaya, koi baat nahi. Roz ka yahi kaam hai mera ma’am. (He fell down, it’s no big deal. It’s my daily routine)”
