She started her career with one of the popular channel ETV as News Reader. She gained immense popularity as ETV Prime Time news presenter. Many 90s kids know news reader Kalyani as she was highly popular in 2000s. She switched to TV5 in 2007 and continued there as successful news reader. She kept herself away from heated debates and controversies like other news readers.
