Shaalin Zoya is from the Keralan town of Tirur-Malappuram. She was born to Basheer and Bhanusha on February 22, 1997. Her mother acknowledged her interest in performing and urged her to concentrate on it. She teaches dance in Kozhikode. Shanid Rahman was Shaalin’s only sibling.

Shaalin launched her professional breakthrough in 2010 with the Malayalam movie Elsamma Enna Aankutty.
