Amruta Khanvilkar, an Indian film actress, has appeared in both Hindi and Marathi films. Born in Pune to Raju and Gauri Khanvilkar in a middle-class household, she has a younger sister named Aditi. Despite being selected for Zee Cine Star Ki Khoj, she lost in the final round and subsequently pursued a career in Marathi films. Some of her notable film credits include Golmaal (Marathi film) and Saade Maade Teen.

She has experience working in multiple Hindi movies like Mumbai Salsa, HatTrick, and Contract. In Ram Gopal Verma’s Hindi film Phoonkh, she played a leading role. She portrayed the character of Ganga in the TV show Kasamh Se. She participated in the Marathi dance-based reality show Ekapeksha Ek but was unable to win in the final round. Born on November 23, 1984, in Mumbai. Amruta Khanvilkar hails from a Marathi family. Her parents, Ajit and Gauri Khanvilkar welcomed her into the world, and she has a younger sister named Aditi, who pursued a career as an air hostess.

Following the 1993 Mumbai attacks, Amruta’s family decided to shift to Pune for safety and stability. During her time in Pune, she attended Karnataka High School and later graduated from Marathwada Mitra Mandal College of Commerce.

Amruta Khanvilkar embarked on her career in 2004, stepping into the world of entertainment as a contestant on Zee Cine Star ki Khoj, one of the first reality shows on Indian television. In the same year, she co-starred in the Hindi short film “Saanjh” alongside Amitabh Bhattacharjee. This film, presented by the Film and Television Institute of India, went on to win the National Film Award for Best Non-Feature Film on Family Welfare.

Her journey continued in 2005 with appearances on Hindi television shows such as A.D.A. and Time Bomb 9/11. In 2006, Khanvilkar made her film debut in the Marathi comedy “Golmaal,” receiving positive reviews for her performance alongside Bharat Jadhav and Jitendra Joshi.
