Sana, an Indian actress, television presenter, and model, is also known as Shanoor Sana Begum. She mainly works in Telugu films but has made some appearances in Tamil and Kannada films. Her career has mainly focused on supporting roles, and she has been featured in nearly 200 films. Born in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, she is the daughter of a Christian father and a Muslim mother. Sadath was the person she married when she was still a teenager and before completing her education. Her son, Syed Anwar Ahmed, holds the position of director, and her daughter-in-law is involved in acting. Sameera Sherief is known as a TV actress who first started her career in modelling. She got her first break in film acting from director Krishna Vamsi while she was occupied with television and modelling commitments. Director Krishna Vamsi was looking for a suitable actress to take on the supporting role in his 1996 film Ninne Pelladatha and cast Sana for the role, which marked her debut in acting. The film, starring Nagarjuna in the lead role, received critical acclaim and was a successful venture at the box office.
Since then, she has mainly been seen in supporting roles in Telugu films. Her portrayal of Kaikeyi in the 2011 film Sri Rama Rajyam and her negative character in the 2011 film Rajapattai were both well-received.
