Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed to make necessary reforms in TSPSC so that the incidents of question paper leakages do not repeat in future. He has ordered the officials to study the performance of UPSC and other states’ PSCs, which are conducting job placements and entrance exams efficiently. Officials have been ordered to submit a detailed report.
It has been clarified that the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) should be completely reformed. Along with UPSC, teams of senior officials should be sent to other states to study the recruitment process there. Strict measures should be taken to make the recruitment through TSPSC transparent. According to the rules issued by the Supreme Court, guidelines should be made for the appointment of the chairman and members of the commission. The officials were directed to immediately provide necessary technical upgrade, additional staff and infrastructure to TSPSC.
Police officials were asked about the reasons for the leakage of question papers and the current status of the case. They explained to the CM through a PowerPoint presentation on the leakage. Police said that 108 people have already been arrested in this case. The first charge sheet has been filed in the court and the forensic lab report is due for the second charge sheet. It was explained that all the officials in the SIT were transferred due to the elections. The CM inquired about the latest situation of TSPSC exams. How many notifications has the commission issued so far? How many notification exams were cancelled? How many completed? Are the results released? He asked the secretary of the commission what are the court cases.
