Biography of Pemmasani Chandrasekhar: Pemmasani Chandrasekhar is an Indian Politician and Member of Parliament from Guntur, Andhra Pradesh. He is also serving as union minister of state for Rural Development and communication. He was Born in a simple middle-class farmer family from Burripalem, Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. He initially studied in the government schools and with his extraordinary skills and talent he got the opportunity to fly abroad. He graduated from Osmania medical College in Hyderabad. He completed his post graduation in Pennsylvania, US.
He had done a few social activities as NRI in the Palnadu region. He supplied free potable drinking water for over 10 years in the region. He had donated land in his village for the community hall. He entered Politics representing Telugu Desam Party. He got the opportunity only in 2024 to contest as a TDP candidate from the Guntur Lok Sabha constituency. He won in 2024 elections with a good majority and with his first win he also secured a berth in the Union ministry as Minister of State.

Childhood and education
Pemmasani Chandrasekhar was born on March 7, 1976 in Burripalem, Tenali Taluka, Guntur District. Chandrasekhar’s parents are Suvarchala Sambasivarao and he has one brother. Born in a middle-class family, he lived a normal life without any fuss in his childhood. Although he was born in Burripalem, he spent some time in Narasa Raopet during his childhood. He showed good talent from his childhood. He completed his tenth class in 1991 and inter in 1993. In 1993-94 with the dream of becoming a doctor, he got 27th rank in MBBS entrance and secured a seat in Hyderabad Osmania. At that time he was praised by many people for studying in Telugu medium and getting such a good rank.
Travel to America
After completing medicine, Chandrasekhar went to America in 2000 for post-graduation. After completing his PG, he continued as a teaching faculty for five years at the globally renowned John University. On the other hand, they help students prepare for medical licensure exams. Also, Best Beri Ani School was started to provide an international standard of education in the rural area. Also.. a trust called Pemmasani has been established and financial assistance is provided to poor people and voluntary organizations.
A political journey
Pemmasani Chandrasekhar’s father Sambasiva Rao is very fond of NT Rama Rao. It is for this reason that he joined the Telugu Desam Party. After that, he served as Narasa Raopet Town Vice President. Chandrasekhar joined the party where his father continued. He likes Chandrababu very much. When Chandrababu was the Chief Minister, Chandrasekhar attended the meetings when he was visiting America. It was at that time that Chandrababu came face to face. Chandrababu also congratulated Chandrasekhar for his success. Thus Chandrababu became more interested in politics and started working with TDP.
Chandrasekhar tried to get a Narsaraopet Lok Sabha ticket from TDP in 2014 itself. But, in 2014 and 2019, former MP Rayapati Sambasivarao was given a chance, so he waited for some time. At this point, everyone thought that he would get the Narasapuram Assembly ticket. But when the sitting MP Galla Jayadev announced that he was taking a break from politics, the line was cleared for Chandrasekhar. He entered the field to contest as a TDP candidate from the Guntur Lok Sabha constituency in the 2024 parliamentary elections. Finally he got the tdp ticket ahead of 2024 elections and won with a thumping majority against YSRCP. He also got the opportunity to serve as union minister of state under Modi 3.0.
Political career
Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani’s father, Sambasivarao, was fond of N.T. Rama Rao. Due to this connection, he joined the Telugu Desam Party. He later served as the Deputy Chairman of Narasaraopet town. Following his father’s involvement in politics, Chandra Sekhar also joined the same party. He admired Chandrababu Naidu greatly. When Chandrababu Naidu became Chief Minister, Chandra Sekhar actively participated in organizing events held in America during his visits. In 2014 and 2019, Chandra Sekhar attempted to secure a Narasaraopet Lok Sabha ticket from the Telugu Desam Party. However, due to the opportunity given to the former Indian National Congress leader, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao he withdrew for a considerable period.
He ran in the 2024 Indian general election from Guntur Lok Sabha constituency as a Telugu Desam Party candidate, and won with 344,695 votes, succeeding former member Galla Jayadev who had announced he was taking a break from politics in January 2024.
