Pawan Kalyan, born on September 2, 1971, is an Indian actor and politician. He is the founder of the Jana Sena Party, established in 2014, and the younger brother of actor Chiranjeevi. Pawan Kalyan has actively participated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana politics. Pawan Kalyan, the younger brother of Chiranjeevi and Nagendra Babu, was born in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, on September 2, 1968, or 1971. He hails from the Kapu community and comes from a family of five siblings, including two sisters and an elder. In 2014, he founded the Jana Sena Party.

In 1997, Pawan Kalyan married Nandini, but their relationship faced complications. In 2001, he entered a live-in arrangement with co-star Renu Desai, leading to the birth of their son Akira Nandan in 2004. Legal troubles arose when Nandini filed a bigamy case in 2007, but Kalyan was cleared due to lack of evidence. The couple formally divorced in 2008.

In 2009, Kalyan married Renu Desai, and they had a daughter named Aadya in 2010. The couple divorced in 2012, with Desai mentioning Kalyan’s insistence on the divorce despite her initial protests.

In 2008, Pawan Kalyan ventured into politics as the youth wing president of his brother Chiranjeevi’s Praja Rajyam Party. However, he later parted ways after the party merged into the Congress. In March 2014, he founded the Jana Sena Party and gained significant attention, being recognized as the most searched Indian celebrity politician on Google at that time. Beyond politics, Kalyan is known for his philanthropy, founding the Andhra Pradesh charity Common Man Protection Force. A practitioner of martial arts, holding a black belt in Karate, he often incorporates these skills into his films. Popularly referred to as “Power Star” by his fans and the media. On 16 January 2020, Kalyan announced his party’s alliance with BJP, after three years of distancing from it. Both parties will fight together in the upcoming elections in 2024. On 12 February 2020, he led a rally for justice for Sugali Preethi, a 15-year-old girl who was brutally raped and murdered, in Kurnool. He demanded an inquiry by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the incident.
