Gummadi Sandhya Rani is a Member of the Legislative Council(MLC) elected by MLAs. She was born on 15-03-1973 to Muthyalu and Parvathamma.
She completed her Graduation with a B.Sc from M.R. Women’s College At Vizianagaram. She completed T.T.C. at D.I.E.T. College at Vizianagaram. Sandhya Rani married Jaya Kumar.
She started her political journey with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP). From 2015-2021, she was elected as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) by MLAs.
She served as State Organising Secretary of TDP, Andhra Pradesh. She was a Member of the Tribes Advisory Council, Andhra Pradesh.

Political Career
Coming from a political family, Sandhya Rani first worked as a teacher. Inspired by his father Janni Muthyalu, he entered politics at an early age. In 1999, he contested from Salur on behalf of the Congress and was defeated. After that election, he left Hastan and joined TDP. Defeat in the 2009 Assembly and 2014 Lok Sabha elections was inevitable. He was elected to the Legislative Council from TDP in 2015. In 2020, she was appointed as a member of TDP Politburo. She lost the Salur Constituency, and former Deputy Chief Minister Peedika won a big victory against Rajannadora. In the 2024 Elections she won and was appointed as a cabinet minister for Women & Child Welfare; Tribal Welfare department
