Anagani Satya Prasad is a prominent figure in Andhra Pradesh politics, serving as the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Repalle constituency in Guntur district since 2014. Belonging to the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), he rose to prominence after defeating his YSRCP counterpart in the 2014 elections. He is known for his cheerful demeanor and is often referred to as the “happiest person in Andhra Pradesh.”
Born in 1972, Satya Prasad holds a Bachelor of Science degree and hails from a politically inclined family. His relative, Anagani Bhagavantha Rao, served as an MLA and minister in the 1970s and 80s. Despite his family background, Satya Prasad built his own political career through grassroots work and public engagement.
