Kolusu Parthasarathy, a seasoned politician in Andhra Pradesh, wears many hats. He currently serves as the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the Penamaluru constituency in Krishna district, representing the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) since 2019. This marks his third term in the Assembly, having previously held the seat from 2004 to 2009 and again from 2009 to 2014.
Parthasarathy’s political roots run deep, stemming from his family background. His father, Kolusu Pedareddaiah Yadav, was a veteran politician himself, having served as a Member of Parliament from the Machilipatnam Lok Sabha Constituency.
Throughout his career, Parthasarathy has held various ministerial positions, showcasing his diverse skillset and experience. Notably, he served as the Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Fisheries and Veterinary University in the cabinet of Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and continued in the same role under K. Rosaiah. Later, from 2010 to 2014, he donated the mantle of the Minister for Excise & Prohibition in the united Andhra Pradesh government.
