 Thammineni Seetharam Biography: Thammineni Seetharam, a seasoned politician from Andhra Pradesh, has worn many hats throughout his career. Currently, he stands as the formidable Speaker of the state’s Legislative Assembly, a position he’s held since May 2019. His political journey began with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), where he was elected MLA for the Amadalavalasa constituency a remarkable six times, five of them through by-elections. Seetharam’s political compass, however, wasn’t fixed. He switched gears to the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) before returning to TDP, finally settling with YSRCP in 2014. This political dexterity, while earning him respect for his adaptability, also drew criticism for perceived opportunism.
