Prem Singh Tamang better known as P. S. Golay, is an Indian politician, and former teacher who is serving as the 6th and current Chief Minister of Sikkim since 2019 and the founder and leader of the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) since 2019. He represents the Poklok-Kamrang in the Sikkim Legislative Assembly since 2019, Upper Burtuk from 2009 to 2019 and Chakung from 1994 to 2009. Before forming the SKM party, he was a key member of the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) Party

2019 Incumbent
Elected as a Member of Vidhan Sabha, Sikkim from Poklok-Kamrang seat. Also, sworn-in as the 6th Chief Minister of Sikkim.
2017
He was disqualified from the Sikkim Legislative Assembly after being convicted on 28 December 2016 for misappropriating government funds while with the SDF between 1994 and 1999.
2014
In Assembly Elections, Prem Singh Tamang contested from two seats Upper Burtuk and Namthang- Rateypani. He won from Upper Burtuk by defeating D.R. Thapa of SDF but lost from later one against Tilu Gurung of SDF.
2014
After a row over Rolu Picnic event, Prem Singh decided to found his own political party. He founded Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) on 4 February 2014 in Soreng, West Sikkim On 6 September 2014 he officially resigned from SDF.
2009
In 2009 Prem Singh was contested from Upper Burtuk and won against Arun Kumar Rai of INC. Soon after the election hje was nominated as the Chairperson of the Industries Department However, he did not serve as chairperson.
2004
Prem Singh defeated INC candidate Satish Mohan Pradhan at Chakung constituency. He became Minister for Building and Housing Department (2004 to 2009).
1999
He again defeated Tika Gurung of SSP and continue as MLA from Chakung. From 1994 to 1999 he was the Minister for Animal Husbandry, Ecclesiastical and Industry Department and from 1999 to 2004 he served as the Minister for Industries and Animal Husbandry.
1994
He contested assembly election from Chakung and dethroned Tara Mani.
1993
Prem Singh Tamang resigned from his government service and got fully involved in political activities of SDF. Very soon he was made Vice President of the youth wing.
1991
Prem Singh Tamang started participating in the political activities of the Sikkim Democratic Front. He joined a party and was became State Youth Convenor.
