The Central Election commission of India is all set to announce the Schedule of Loksabha Elections 2024.
It is understood that the dates are already finalized for Loksabha Elections for the entire country along with the Assembly elections for 5 states.
Loksabha election 2024 schedule after March 9
It is known that the Election Commission has been making a series of visits to the states since a month to conduct the Lok Sabha and assembly elections of several states. It is reported that the officials who held meetings with various political parties and local officials have prepared the schedule.
There are high chances that EC would announce the election dates anytime after 9th March 2024. National media has already made some news confirming the same from reliable sources.
All set for Assembly Elections in 5 states
Apart from Elections to Lok Sabha which are due in the month of May 2024, EC is all set to release the election dates for the assembly elections in the following states. Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim Assemblies are due to be held in April or May this year. Along with these states, the EC also hopes to conduct assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. In this regard, the team will meet with the officials from the central government on March 8-9,. Security situation and forces in Jammu and Kashmir will be discussed in the meet. After that, the EC team will visit Jammu and Kashmir on March 12-13 and inspect the situation at the field level.
EC is planning to hold Assembly elections along with Lok Sabha elections in the month of May 2024. In this regard election notification will be out in the second week of March 2024.
