Upendra Singh Yadav is an Indian cricketer who plays first-class cricket for Railways. He has also played for the Rest of India and Uttar Pradesh. Yadav started his cricketing journey with the Uttar Pradesh Under-16s at the age of 26. He is predominantly a wicket-keeper batsman but can also come in handy with the ball. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler.
Upendra Yadav was born on October 8, 1996, in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, and he is currently 26 years of age at the time of IPL 2023. He grew up in Uttar Pradesh and got his cricket education from a very young age and started catching the eye and was selected for the Uttar Pradesh under-16 side. Upendra Singh is a domestic cricket player who has played in all three formats of the game.
He made his debut for Uttar Pradesh in a T20 match against Railways in Nagpur in April 2014. In first-class cricket, Upendra made his debut for Uttar Pradesh against Railways in Rajkot in November 2016. He made his List A debut for Uttar Pradesh against Delhi in Bilaspur in February 2018.
Yadav has a frame of 5 feet 9 inches and a body weight of 71 kg. He was snapped up by Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. 25 lakhs in the IPL 2023 auction. A clean hitter and a solid wicket-keeper, he could prove to be a solid asset for the Hyderabad franchise.

Upendra Yadav was born on 8 October 1996 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. Upendra had a great desire to play cricket since childhood. He started playing cricket at a young age. His elder brother has a lot of support in making Upendra a famous cricketer. Upendra’s brother got him enrolled at the age of 12 in the Kanpur South Ground Academy under coach SN Singh, Yadav practised for two years.
After that He practiced under the directorship of former Uttar Pradesh team captain Sashikant Khandekar at the Kamala Cricket Academy. After hard work, Upendra started playing domestic matches for Uttar Pradesh. Upendra made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh against Railway on 29 November 2016 in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy. He made his List A debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2017-18 Vijay Hazare Trophy against Delhi Team on 5 February 2018.
Seeing his good Performance in domestic IPL selectors got him a chance to play in IPL. In the 2023 Ipl Auction Upendra Yadav was bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the price of 25 Lakhs Rs for the 2023 Indian Premier League Tournament and he is yet to make his Ipl Debut.
