Kyle Mayers Profile
Kyle Mayers travelled to England as a reserve for West Indies in 2020 before making his T20I debut in New Zealand later in the year.
He had won his place on the back of some impressive form in regional cricket for Barbados, making his maiden professional hundreds in 2019-20. In the Regional Super50, he hit 113 from the middle order against the Leeward Islands, before finishing second to Jermaine Blackwood in the four-day run-scoring charts as Barbados cantered to the title.
He demonstrated his power against seamers – though looked awkward against spin – in the 2020 CPL for Barbados Tridents, earning him a spot in the T20I side in late 2020. While his first two appearances did not go to plan, the withdrawal of several senior players gave him a chance in the Test and ODI squads in Bangladesh in early 2021.
