ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం ప్రవేశపెట్టిన ఉచిత బస్సు ప్రయాణ పథకం (Free Bus Travel Scheme) అనేది రాష్ట్రంలోని మహిళలకు ఉచితంగా RTC బస్సుల్లో ప్రయాణించేందుకు అవకాశం కల్పించే గొప్ప సంకల్పం. ఈ పథకం ముఖ్యంగా మహిళల భద్రత, ఆర్థిక స్వావలంబన మరియు సామాజిక ఉద్యమాన్ని ప్రోత్సహించడానికి ప్రారంభించబడింది.
ఉచిత బస్సు ప్రయాణ సౌకర్యం ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రంలో ఉన్నటువంటి మహిళలు మరియు బాలికలు అందరికీ వర్తిస్తుంది. వీరితో పాటు ట్రాన్స్ జెండర్లకు కూడా ఈ పథకం వర్తిస్తుంది.

The scheme, also known as the “Super Six Scheme,” was rolled out from August 15, 2024, and later reaffirmed for further implementation starting August 15, 2025
Eligible passengers (women, transgender individuals, and certain underserved categories) can avail free travel across all APSRTC-run Palle Velugu and Express buses within Andhra Pradesh, including travel up to state borders, but excluding AC, luxury, and inter-state services

ఏసీ బస్సులలో, స్లీపర్, సూపర్ లగ్జరీ, స్టార్ లైనర్ వంటి బస్సులలో ఈ సౌకర్యం ఉండదు.

Women of all age groups who are residents of Andhra Pradesh are eligible. In some cases, students and senior citizens may also benefit under specific sub-schemes.
Currently, no special ID or registration is required. Beneficiaries must carry valid identity proof (like Aadhaar) if asked during inspection.
The free travel scheme applies to:
Premium services like Garuda, Super Luxury, or AC buses are not included.
Free travel is generally available throughout the day, but some local restrictions may apply during peak hours. Confirm with local depots for exact timing windows.
No, the free bus ride in AP is currently available only for women passengers, though there are separate concessions for senior citizens and the disabled.
