The Petroleum Department has informed that the oil marketing companies have revised the prices of petrol and diesel across the country. The new prices will come into effect from 6 am on March 15. It said that the reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel will bring relief to the consumers and the maintenance costs of 58 lakh goods vehicles, six crore cars and 27 crore two-wheelers running on diesel will be reduced. With the latest decision to reduce the petrol price by \u20b92, henceforth the price of a liter of petrol in Delhi will be Rs.94.72; 104.21 in Mumbai; Kolkata will be Rs.103.94 and Chennai will be Rs.100.75. According to the revised prices, the price of a liter of diesel is Rs.87.62 in Delhi and Rs.92.15 in Mumbai; It will be Rs.90.76 in Kolkata and Rs.92.34 in Chennai.
