As a result, DA has reached 50 percent from the existing 46 percent. The government has said the revised DA will come into effect from January 1, 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearly one crore central government employees and pensioners will benefit from the latest decision. Minister Piyush Goyal revealed that this decision was taken in the recent cabinet meeting.<br><br>With the latest decision taken by the central government on DA\/DR, it is estimated that an additional burden of Rs.12,869 crore will be imposed on the exchequer every year.
