So far the disabled people approach district level offices for various services. Henceforth these OSCs act as the nearest points for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are being set up under the aid of World Bank-funded RIGHTS project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_services_are_provided_at_OSCs\"><\/span>What services are provided at OSCs<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The OSC centres will have 9 experts to cater services to PWD, these services&nbsp; including a psychologist, physiotherapist, speech audiologist, occupational therapist and special educator apart from a case manager who will be a social work professional <br><br>The government has stated that the qualified professionals at OSCs will also take up welfare activities like accepting applications for the various schemes from all the departments and ensure that they reach the deserved persons in the state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Tamilnadu welfare department announced good news for the persons with disabilities in the state.
