electricity to low and middle-income individuals through solar rooftop installations, along with offering additional income for surplus electricity generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi made an announcement about this scheme on 22nd January 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Free Electricity up to 300 tops on the houses belonging to the low and middle income groups in India. 1 crore houses to get solar roof top through this scheme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility<\/strong>: Low and Mid Income href=\"https:\/\/solarrooftop.gov.in\/consumerRegistration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>. However applications specifically under Suryodaya Yojana are yet to be rolled out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guidelines for the Identification of the eligible beneficiaries will be rolled out
