Good news for motorists in Telangan, The state government has given huge discount pending challans.\u00a080 percent discount on two wheelers, 60 percent discount on four wheelers and autos has been announced.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, 50 percent discount on pending challan on lorries and other heavy vehicles has been announced.\u00a0From the 26th of December month to 10th of January 2024, payment of discounted challans to be made available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As on March 31, last year, around 2.4 crore challans were pending in the state.\u00a0With the intention of reducing these, a special subsidy was announced last year.\u00a075 percent discount for two-wheelers and 50 percent discount for others.\u00a0This initiative got an incredible response. Within just 45 days, up to Rs.300 crores pending dues were collected.\u00a0About 65 percent of the invoices had been paid.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Post that again it is understood that pending count has increased significantly.\u00a0By the end of last month, the number of challans is estimated to have reached two crore again.\u00a0In this context, the government has announced the latest concession.\u00a0This discount is applicable only to those who pay the challan within the specified window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
