The current Government of Tamil Nadu under the dynamic CM Stalin, is building its own mark in the state by rendering good governance. It has taken yet another step to take the government close to the public. On these lines Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday announced a new scheme called “Ungalai Thedi Ungal Ooril” (Meeting people at their own places) from December 2023. As part of this scheme, collectors must stay in a taluk every month to meet people and redress their grievances.This scheme is the next level of implementation for the scheme \u201c Kala Aaaivil Mudhalvar\u201d (Chief Minister on field inspection). “The collectors will engage in field inspection in every taluk on a particular day to know the people\u2019s grievances and to ensure that the government schemes and services are reaching the people,\u201d said by the chief minister \u201cThe government machinery is coming to your door to redress your grievances. We will listen to your grievances and resolve them on the spot,\u201d Stalin said.He also added that this new scheme is aimed at realising the dream of former chief minister CN Annadurai who advised his cadre and officers: \u201cGo to the People; Live among them; Learn from them, and Serve them.\u201d The primary duty of the government machinery is to ensure that the full fruit of the schemes and projects reach people and to remove the impediments if any. \u201cThough officials are closer to the people, they rely on the collectors with trust and confidence to get their pending issues resolved. The people meet the collectors every Monday and submit petitions. The profile of collectors does not make people fear about them. Instead, it attracts the people to the collectors,\u201d Stalin said. Stalin govt is taking the schemes deep into the public and also continuing previous govt schemes unlike other states. This move has garnered public applause on the govt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
