Kona Raghupathi is an Indian politician from Andhra Pradesh, India. He represents the Bapatla constituency in the Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh. He was elected to serve as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Bapatla Assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh, India, in 2014. He represents the YSR Congress Party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Born on 3 August 1959, Raghupathi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and hails from a politically inclined family. His father, Kona Prabhakar Rao, served as an MLA and minister in the 1980s. Raghupathi entered politics in 2009, when he was elected as a member of the Guntur Municipal Corporation. He was re-elected in 2014.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the 2014 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election, Raghupathi defeated Annam Satish Prabhakar of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to win the Bapatla constituency. He was re-elected in the 2019 election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As MLA, Raghupathi has focused on infrastructure development, education, and agriculture in his constituency. He has also been vocal on issues concerning farmers’ welfare and social justice. He is known for his down-to-earth approach and his commitment to serving his constituents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2019, Raghupathi was elected as the Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. He served in this position until 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
