N.M.D. Farooq<\/strong> is the Chairman <\/strong>of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council and was the Member of the Legislative Council(MLC)<\/strong> from Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. He was born on 15-05-1950 to Ibrahim Saheb and N. Zaithun Bee in Nandyal Mandal of Kurnool dist AP. He completed his Graduation B.A. and N.M.D. Farooq married N. Shahnaz Begum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He started his Political Journey with the\u00a0Telugu Desam Party (TDP)<\/strong>. He is a senior Muslim TDP politician and loyalist to the party since the formation of TDP. From 1984-1985, he served as\u00a0Chairman<\/strong>\u00a0of Nandyal Municipality. From 1985-1989, he was a\u00a0member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly (MLA)<\/strong>. From 1985-1989, he was appointed as\u00a0Minister for Sugar, Wakf, and Urdu Academy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 1994-1999, he was a\u00a0member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly (MLA)<\/strong>. From 1995-1999, he served as\u00a0Deputy Speaker<\/strong>\u00a0of the A.P Legislative Assembly. From 1999-2003, he won the post of a Member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly(MLA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017, He was elected as a\u00a0Member of the Legislative Council(MLC)<\/strong>\u00a0from Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. In 2017, He was the\u00a0Chairman<\/strong>\u00a0of the Legislative Council of Andhra Pradesh. In 2018, he served as\u00a0Minister<\/strong>\u00a0For Minorities Welfare and Health, Medical and Family Welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
