This victory led to his appointment as Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for a third term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, in the wake of the 2018 Madhya Pradesh assembly election, Chouhan faced a setback when he failed to secure a majority. Consequently, he resigned as Chief Minister on December 12, 2018.
