Inspired by the principles of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its vision, his journey started for politics and quickly earned recognition within the political circles of Maharashtra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/span>Political Career:<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\nNitin Gadkari\u2019s political career started when he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and became involved in Maharashtra state politics. He managed several positions within the party and government including the Minister of Public Works Department (PWD) in the Maharashtra government. During his work under the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Gadkari spearheaded various infrastructure projects that improved the state\u2019s transportation network. His hard work and dedication make him president of the BJP. In 2009, he was elected as the President of the BJP. He brought innovative strategies and organisational reform to the party. Under his leadership, the BJP achieved electoral victories and solidified its position in the Maharashtra government. On 26th May 2014, he was appointed as the Minister for Road Transport and Highways, one of the senior most members of the Narendra Modi government.
