The Special APTET August 2026 has been introduced in view of the Supreme Court judgments concerning the requirement of Teacher Eligibility Test qualification for certain in-service teachers. The notification states that the Supreme Court, in Civil Appeal No. 1385 of 2025 dated 1 September 2025, held that TET qualification is mandatory for the concerned in-service teachers and directed teachers having more than five years of service remaining before superannuation to acquire the qualification within the stipulated period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
