1. About Gruha Lakshmi Scheme
Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is one of the five public welfare schemes launched in 2023 by the Congress government which aims to provide financial assistance to the woman from BPL families.
Under this scheme Rs.2000 shall be provided to the woman from BPL families every month.
• Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is also one of the pre poll promise of Congress Party.
• The main objective behind launching Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the poor woman and there by achieve woman empowerment.
• From 30th of August 2023, every eligible woman will get amount of two thousand rupees under Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme.
2. Benefits of Gruha Lakshmi:
The following benefits will be provided to eligible beneficiaries of Karnataka under Karnataka Gruha Lakshmi Scheme :-
o Eligible Woman will get Rs.2000 every month as part of this scheme
3. Eligibility for Gruha Lakshmi
• Applicant should be a Permanent Resident of Karnataka.
• Applicant should be belong to any of the below mentioned category :-
o Below Poverty Line (BPL).
o Antyodaya Anna Card or APL ration card holders
o Only one woman in a family is eligible to get this benefit
Note: Govt employees, Income Tax payers and wives of government employees or income tax payers or those filing GST returns shall be ineligible for this scheme.
4. How to apply for Gruha Lakshmi scheme
Applications have begun and ongoing from 18th July 2023. Applicants can either apply online or offline as below.
Online Application Process for GruhaLakshmi Scheme:
Step 1: Please Visit the
Seva Sindhu Guarantee Schemes Portal.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Gruha Lakshmi Yojana’ option in the main page.
Step 3: Click on the link which is displyed in the pop-up box.
Step 4: Fill all the required information for the scheme and upload the relevant documents.
Step 5: Once done with all the above steps , click the submit button and please note the application form number for your future reference.
Offline Application Process for GruhaLakshmi Scheme:
Eligible Women can also submit their applications in offline mode at Grama One, Bangalore One or Karnataka One office, Bapuji Seva Kendras and Nada Kacheris.
Eligible women should visit the mentioned offices and get the Gruha Lakshmi Scheme application form, fill the form clearly with all details and submit it with the required documents.
The state officials will conduct a door-to-door registration and verification to record beneficiary details and enroll the scheme.
The beneficiary list will be displayed on the Seva Sindhu Guarantee Schemes Portal.
• The following documents will be required to avail the benefits of Gruha Lakshmi Scheme :-
o Aadhaar card
o Ration card
o Aadhaar card of the husband
o Mobile number
o Bank account details
