It has Kakatiya Kala Thoranam in center and Charminar embedded within the <em>thoranam<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also includes sarnath lion capital symbol and satyamev jayate. \u00a0It has &#8220;Government of Telangana&#8221; in English, &#8220;Telangana Sarkar&#8221; in Urdu and &#8220;Telangana Prabhutvamu&#8221; written in Telugu. It is deeply associated with Indian history and a reference to this graceful animal was there in the great epic Ramayana. It can survive in the smallest forests also. It is a member of the roller family of birds and is also known as the blue jay or the Palapitta in Telugu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Indian Roller is a brightly colored bird, with a blue back, a rufous head and breast, and a white belly. It has a long and curved bill, and its wings are broad and rounded. The male and female have similar plumage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Indian Roller is considered a common bird in Telangana, it&#8217;s a sign of good luck and is often associated with prosperity and happiness in the local culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/studybizz.com\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Pala_Pitta.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-781\" width=\"617\" height=\"351\" srcset=\"https:\/\/studybizz.com\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Pala_Pitta.jpg 730w, https:\/\/studybizz.com\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Pala_Pitta-300x171.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 617px) 100vw, 617px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"State_Tree_Jammi_Chettu_Prosopis_Cineraria\"><\/span>State Tree : Jammi Chettu (Prosopis Cineraria)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The state tree of Telangana is the Jammi Chettu (Prosopis cineraria). It is a species of small to medium-sized tree that is found in the arid regions of India. The tree is known for its hard wood, drought resistance and its ability to survive in dry and poor soil conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Jammi tree is also considered sacred in Hindu religion. It is believed that the tree has spiritual significance and is associated with the god of wealth and prosperity, Kubera. It is also said to bring good luck to the people who plant it. As per the mythology, Pandavas had vanquished a large army of Kauravas only after performing worshipping the Jammi Chettu. They had hidden their weapons on a Jammi Chettu when they had been forced into exile in the forests. Now, Telangana adopted the same to symbolize the same and get the blessings of the Jammi Chettu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Telangana, the tree is found in the arid regions of Nizamabad, Warangal, and Adilabad districts. The most popular varieties of mango found in Telangana are Alphonso, Banganapalli, Neelam, and Totapuri. Mangoes are known for their sweet taste and are a rich source of vitamins A and C, as well as antioxidants. They are commonly eaten fresh, but can also be used to make jams, jellies, and other preserves. It is a small, herbaceous perennial plant that belongs to the family Acanthaceae. The plant is known for its bright red or orange flowers that bloom from June to September. The Tangedu plant is commonly found in the rocky and hilly regions of Telangana and is also known for its medicinal properties. The plant is known to be used as a treatment for fever and other ailments in traditional medicine. Murrel fish is widely known in Telugu as \u2018Korramatta\u2019 or \u2018Korrameenu\u2019 which is one of the largest producing species across the state. Kabaddi is a contact sport, played between two teams of seven players each, with the objective of each team to send a &#8220;raider&#8221; into the opposing team&#8217;s side of the court, and capture as many of the opposing team&#8217;s players as possible, while the raider holds his breath and says &#8220;Kabaddi&#8221; repeatedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Telangana, Kabaddi is also considered as a sport that is closely associated with the state&#8217;s culture and tradition.
