It means a lack of basic capacity to participate effectively in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As per the world bank , the poverty is classified into three types based on the per day earning by the people across the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-roman\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Extreme Poverty: People who live on less than $1.90 dollar per day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moderate Poverty: People who live on less than $2 dollar per day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Better Poverty: : People who live on less than $5 dollar per day.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Two types of Poverty<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Absolute Poverty<\/strong>: It defines the lack of basic amenities like food, clothing and shelter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is generally found in developing, under developed or poor nations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example<\/strong>: Poor countries like Somalia, Sudan , Developing countries like Sri Lanka , India etc<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Relative Poverty<\/strong>: This is in relation to the economic status of other individuals in the society.
