The government of Telangana introduced a new scheme under the name of "Telangana Dalit Bandhu" to intensify the level of financial assistance to SC households. One time capital assistance of Rs.10 lakhs per SC family is provided for all SC families in the state as 100% grant / subsidy to establish a suitable income generating schemes as per their choice (without bank loan linkage).

The Dalit community in Telangana is the most backward community in the state, so the families of this community will be provided financial assistance through this Scheme.
This TS Dalit Bandhu Scheme will promote entrepreneurship which will help in reducing the rising unemployment rate among the Dalit community in the state.
▶️ The applicant of the scheme should be a permanent resident of Telangana state.
▶️ The applicant of the scheme should belong to Dalit community.
▶️ The applicant of scheme should be below the poverty line.
▶️ After selecting the beneficiaries, the Collector should select a suitable bank in each mandal and open a separate Dalit Bandhu account in the name of the head of the family.
▶️ Payments will be made only after contacting the Collector regarding the establishment of the respective units and taking approval.
▶️ Final selection of the unit is done based on the beneficiary's ability, experience, preference, investment level. After all these are OK, the collector will allow the unit to be grounded.
▶️ Rs. 9,90,000 will be released in installments as the project gets ground instead of at once. ▶️ Dalit beneficiaries are organized as a group in villages. How are they going to use the Rs.10 lakh they get? Where are you going to use it? A project report has to be prepared on that.
▶️ The Collector will form special teams with experienced people from the public and private sectors to create awareness among the beneficiaries on these issues.
▶️Training will be provided for 2 to 6 weeks depending on the topic chosen by the beneficiary. Training will be done at village, mandal and constituency level depending on the need.
▶️ If the value of the project is more than Rs.10 lakh, there is also the flexibility of some beneficiaries to form another special group together.
